Teachers wanted to know how the NMPED came up with their test score. They had to file Inspection for Public Records Act requests (IPRA) to ask for the data that was used in the Value Added Model formula — and they asked for the actual formula itself. Here is one teacher’s response received from the PED. The PED could only provide the formula and it told the teacher that the scores used could be found at the district.
1. If the NMPED runs the formula, it should have the data it used for each teacher.
2. Is this how you are evaluated at work???
